Most of us think of our schedule as list of events and task that need to be accomplished.
What if your schedule was arranged around who you want to become instead of what you think you need to get done?
Bill Hybels recently shared a message about the importance your schedule and time. I promise you it is worth the listen. There will be a link later on in the post.
I wanted to share my notes with you from listening to his presentation. These are the points that stood out to me the most and that I thought were most beneficial. I think they will helpful for you too!
1. What would your schedule look like if God arranged it?
2. Is your current schedule working?
*Are you satisfied?
*Are you frustrated?
*Are you exhausted?
*Are you thriving?
*Is your family happy?
*Do you have friends?
3. The thoughtful arrangement of your schedule can actually be a holy matter.
4. Your schedule should be less about what you want to get done, and more about who you want to become.
Who I want to become is dependent upon how I use my time.
*Have a perspective that includes the sum total of your life, not just your day’s work.
5. What investment of time in every area of my life is necessary to be great in those area’s?
*It may not be as much as I think. Some area’s will require more, but other’s not as much.
*Imagine the possibilities if I fulfilled my schedule instead of just talking about it.
Matthew 5:37 37All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
6. Carelessness reveals Character.
